Adonis Durado has more than 20 years of experience as an art director and visual journalist. He is currently serving as the Chief Creative Officer of Muscat Media Group (MMG), publisher major dailies in Oman.
As a freelance design consultant, he helped launch and redesigned more than a dozen magazine and newspaper titles in the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He also served as resource speaker to design conferences and conducted workshops in the United States, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
In his seven-year tenure with MMG, he transformed its products from relatively unknown to the most awarded publications in the Middle East, winning more than 500 international accolades from the Society of News Design, Malofiej Infographic Awards, Society of Publication Design, and the WAN-IFRA Asian Media Awards.
His personal works were also honored by the European Newspaper Award, Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts magazine, HOW magazine, Creative Quarterly magazine, Tabbie Awards, and FOLIO’s Eddie Awards.
Recently, the Society for News Design appointed him as a board member and will function as its Print Publication Director.
